prof.dr.ir. Hans Vermeulen Hans Vermeulen is a Full Professor in Systems and Control and Chair of Mechatronic Systems Design at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research focuses on high performance motion systems with a focus on accurate and reproducable mechanics, among others through precision engineering design principles. Research areas include viscous and visco-elastic damping, advanced thermal control, superconductive linear and planar motors, medical equipment, and active substrate tables, in strong collaboration with the High Tech Systems Center (HTSC).
